Learning Music

The Learning Music portion of Abelton Live was such a nice review for me since I now know more than I used to earlier this year. I feel that this time while doing the learning music portion I was more focused on the bassline and melody portions because my priorities slightly changed. There was a lot of varying information that was great for me to review since I am also currently taking an intro to music elements class.

One great refresher for me was creating and exploring simple drum beats that were specific to certain genres. As a singer and producer, it was a great reminder to explore and broaden my horizons when it comes to musical taste. I left these lessons with ideas for chord progressions and also melodies. There are so many ways to write a melody but I need to remember to make it easy to set apart from the other musical arrangements of a song.
