Loops are a very interesting form of making music because they allow a musician to flow creatively while not worrying too much about making a beat of chord pattern from scratch. DAWs, also known as Digital Audio Workstations, tend to provide loops and space or creativity. The DAW that I use is FL Studio. I use it because my dad has used FL studio from the start in his college years and since he "stayed loyal" FL Studio gave my dad a lifelong pass to FL Studio. In this case, better to use something free! At the moment I am debating whether to start experimenting with Ableton since I technically have it for free because it came with the Scarlett 2i2 Studio pack. Regardless, for the loops I have done below, I used FL Studio.

This song, which I am calling Fight Within, uses futuristic sounds from some of the arpeggio loops. When I was playing around with the loops on FL Studio, the electric arpeggios were some of the first loops to catch my attention. It gave me inspiration since I don't usually produce electric/futuristic beats but they have inspired me. I first started with the tempo. I wanted the song to feel like an anthem or a war cry. I added heavy beats that focused on the kicks and claps the most to give it a sense of preparation. As you may see, I like to color code my loops/tracks. Some of the loops/tracks are similarly named but they are different. This is because in the duration of the song, the instrumentation needs to build to keep it interesting. I definitely want to continue working on this beat so that it can be fully developed. I am so inspired because I've always wanted to make something electric/futuristic but just never came around to it. Enjoy!
