Nostalgia is a Vibe

The project that I am currently working on is an album. I wanted to do this project because I felt that it was time for me to take a big step in music and get out of my comfort zone. What I wanted to emphasize the most about this album was the feeling of nostalgia. Nostalgia is a powerful feeling that deeply connects people to the emotions of their past. I believe that music is the way to the hearts of the people. What I bring to the table is entertainment. I love to entertain and enchant the minds of those who chose to listen to my music. I love to make people feel involved or related to in whatever project I chose to do. I also love to bring a vibe of enjoyment in the music I do. In the past I have competed in local talent shows and I currently serve on the Valley Baptist Church worship team. This has given me experience being on stage and learning how to connect to a crowd. Some of the most recent projects that I have done were Instagram singing and comedy videos. These short videos have helped boost some of my engagement on Instagram. I'm hoping to boost my engagement enough so that when it comes time to start mentioning my album, it will spark interest among my followers.

One thing that my voice specializes in is a soft yet edgy tone that it as. I gain a lot of inspiration growing up with R&B, Pop, and Christian music where the vocals, including lots of riffs and runs, were the main contributing factors of contemporary music. At the moment I am a one man band. I have not found any members yet because I am trying to figure out, as a solo artist, the type of sound that I'm going for in live shows and who would be able to pull off the type of music that I make. I would describe my musical sound, including my voice, as a cross between Chloe x Halle, Ne-Yo, and India Arie. I love the acoustic, pop, electric sound that all three of these artist bring together.
