Interests and Goals in My Career

When thinking about my music career, I can only think of all the opportunities that are out there. Music is such a broad subject and it is important for me to narrow it down into goals that I can achieve to establish myself. But first of all, I need to address some of my interests. As a vocalist, my interest really go along with opportunities for singers. But I also love to vocal produce, entertain, and make beats. There are so many components to entertainment in the music business that I'm sure to find more things that'll interest me.

Some of my goals in the future include dabbling in collaborations, vocals, music production, live shows, entertainment, albums/eps/singles, and social media. My main goal for vocals is to become a professional singer in a sense that I'll have full mastery of my voice. After all, that is what I specialize in as a musician. In terms of music, my main goal at the moment is to put out an album that will help guide me sonically. I want to be able to find a fanbase along with the fanbase I have now that loves vocals and entertainment. In terms of production, I want to be able to mix and master songs. I want to have the freedom to use any plugin I need to fit a desired vibe. I would love to collaborate with artist who are on the rise such as Chloe x Halle or even members of my church who specialize in music production.

In terms of goals for entertainment and live shows, I would love to get into the gig of local restaurants where I live so that I can meet a local audience. This will help me gain even more experience with reading an audience and also how to make myself more entertaining as an artist. I would love to be able to perform at local events such as openings, fairs, celebrations, etc. because it would be a great opportunity to become and artist of my city (giving me something to rep). A goal of mine is to learn how to tour. I want to learn what is necessary to put on a show or a concert so that I can give back to my fans. In the social media world, I want to collaborate with other artists with a similar vibe as me. That way I'll make connections that provide support, help, friendship, and even a mergence of fans. However, I need to understand that to all of these goals comes hard work. Now is not the time to give up, it is the time to be inspired.
