Any musician that plans to market themselves knows that fans play a crucial role in their careers. Fans are the ones that will stick by your side and support you in your musical journey. Here are 10 things that my fans consist of (I got some of this is what i want y fans to be and some of this is from my Instagram analysis).

  1. My fans are meme lovers! They see meme culture as something relatable and therapeutic.

  2. At the moment my fans are 57% women and 43% men. This means the majority are women.

  3. At the moment the majority of my fans are between the ages of 18-24 years old. the second biggest age group of my fans are between the ages of 25-34 years old.

  4. My fans love R&B music for the vocal complexities.

  5. My fans love riffs and runs and smooth vocals.

  6. My fans tend to be most active around 9:00 am because they enjoy their mornings on their phone.

  7. My fans enjoy nostalgic music from the 2000s and 2015 eras of music.

  8. My fans are wholesome people who do good for the world.

  9. My fans love to travel and experience the world.

  10. My fans support black creators.

Another interesting yet important part about having a music career is putting out music. (Of course lol). This is when the recording process is very important. The recording process is an opportunity for artists to mold and shape their sound. Here are 10 songs that I think describe the sound that I wish to have as an artist.

  1. Should've Been Us by Tori Kelly (I love the uptempo vibe that also highlights the voice).

  2. Visions by Stevie Wonder (This song is ballad-like and highlights good vibrato placement).

  3. Little Things by India Arie (It is a wholesome song with a nice uptempo).

  4. Cool People by Chloe x Halle (The beauty of the chords and the lyrics are truly highlighted in this song).

  5. OTHERSIDE by Beyonce (I love the depth and ballad-like fell of the song).

  6. The Way I Am by Charlie Puth (The chords and catchiness of this song makes it unique).

  7. Fake by Chloe x Halle (The uptempo and 'shade' throwing makes it fun to perform).

  8. Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye (The chord patterns create a nostalgic, emotional, and remembered vibe).

  9. Day After Day by Lost and Found Music Studios (I love the nostalgic chord patterns that make it sound sweet and memorable).

  10. Risen by Israel Houghton and New Breed (The uptempo and joyful feel of the song is ideal for spreading an atmosphere of joy).

All of these songs move me and inspire me because of the chord pattern, joyfulness, vocal excellence, nostalgic vibe, and uniqueness that they have to them. They simply are jewels to me and I think that an ideal album from me would sound like some of these songs. In the same way, the fans of these songs also look for a common theme that I also look for. Vocal performance. As a singer, I want people to be able to fall in love with my voice. That way, they would be excited to hear more of my songs. But I'll have to remember to take it one step at a time.
