Hey everyone! Today's blog is going to be a bit different. The first part will be about making an instrumental for a pop song cover featuring a synth bass. The second part will be sound design for film.

This session took longer than I thought it would. Believe it or not, it took numerous days because I never realized how complex Ariana Grande's music is. Recreating instrumentals of pop music is an amazing way to learn how to produce current/recent Pop trends. I truly applaud the producers/sound engineers of the original record for their genius minds. There's certain things I had to improvise because they're not completely audible in the original record. I also had to change the pitch because I do plan on singing this song sometime soon. Enjoy!
For this sound design score, I found a stock video online and decided to add keyboard noises. I also added white noise, which includes AC, and a fan. On top of all of that, I made sure that the keyboard sounds were EQ'd and filtered to sound like the room they were assumed to be in.
