I find it fascinating how some songs are organized and formatted. This is something that not a ton of people think about but when it comes to songwriting, organizing and formatting are keys to having a sense of direction.
For the demo of a song that I wrote this week, "Take it Slow", I decided to include six parts. (Eventually, there will be more to the song, however, I just wanted to flesh out a general idea). "Take it Slow" is a song about stress and anxiety taking away from the quality of life. It's about the moment you start to lose motivation from doing the same mental gymnastics every day. It's also about the moment you get annoyed that someone tries to tell you to slow down, knowing that at the end of the day, they are right.

I tried and, tried and, to simplify things, to hypnotize my integrity
But quiet, why this, do you despise it, in your attempt to beat the best of me

And I do this every day...day...day
