1st Synth Tutorial/Assignment

This synth assignment was a great way for me to get used to using synths and their effects. It felt cool to apply what I've been learning to create music. The DAW I use is FL studio and luckily they had a plethora of synths I could choose from. I have used synths for past music projects, but only in the form of a string sample. However, this project is the first time I manipulated sound straight out of an oscillator.
For this short song, I technically used three synths but two of them were the same type of synth. Three tracks were used, one for the bass, harp, and main melody. It was a bit of a learning curve since the synth I used doesn't look like a traditional synth. But once I got into everything, it all fell in place. My best friends were the filters, the main oscillator, and its envelope. Overall I am happy with how this short song turned out. Honestly, it reminds me of video game music.
